April 26 (SeeNews) - Romanian pavers manufacturer Symmetrica said on Wednesday that it has invested 7 million euro ($7.7 million) in expanding its production facility in Prejmer, in the central county of Brasov.
Following the expansion, the factory's production capacity will increase by 200%, Symmetrica said in a press release.
"The investment was used for the acquisition of the land, the construction works and the installation of state-of-the-art equipment," said Sebastian Bobu, executive director of Symmetrica.
The expansion will allow the company to consolidate its presence in central Romania and to improve its overall geographical coverage.
Last month, Symmetrica said it was investing 6 million euro in the construction of solar parks at eight of its factories.
Established in 1999, Symmetrica has production facilities in the counties of Suceava, Iasi, Brasov, Bistrita-Nasaud, Vrancea, Arad, and in the capital Bucharest.
