The Kamsarmax-class vessel will sail under the Maltese flag and will be put into commercial operation immediately, Atlantska Plovidba said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse.

The company did not disclose the value of the vessel but said it has been financed by financial institution China Huarong Shipping Financial Leasing Co. with a term of 10 years.

At the end of the September, Atlantska Plovidba’s fleet consisted of 10 bulk carriers with 617,908 overall DWT and two bulk carriers under construction.

Earlier this month, it said it has signed a deal to sell a vessel under construction.

In September 2021, Atlantska Plovidba said it will commission the construction of two bulk carriers and two optional ones of 82,000 DWT to shipbuilder Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co.

The company's shares traded 0.77% lower at 51.60 euro ($55.1) by 11:51 local time on Wednesday on the Zagreb bourse.
