September 22 (SeeNews) - Croatian shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] said it will order the construction of two bulk carriers and two optional ones of 82,000 DWT.
“The overall value of the investment is some $137 million (117 million euro). The delivery of all ships is envisaged during 2023,” the company said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse published after the end of the trading day on Tuesday.
Chinese shipbuilder Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co. will build the ships which will meet the IMO Tier III and EEDI Phase 2 shipping standards, the Dubrovnik-based company added.
The company's shares traded 2.94% higher, at 490 kuna ($77/65 euro) on Wednesday morning on the Zagreb bourse, compared to the previous closing price.
