Albania to hold talks to hire G37 Chambers as advisor against crime, corruption

The law firm would also design a methodology for continuous assessment and follow-up, the government said in a press release on Wednesday.

Since 2015, Albania has been implementing a justice reform aimed at enhancing the independence, efficiency, and accountability of the judicial system. The reform includes measures such as vetting judges and prosecutors, restructuring judicial institutions, and improving legal frameworks.

Fight against corruption is a focal point of the reform, initiated with the establishment of a special anti-crime and anti-corruption procurement, and resulting in the arrest of several key political figures, including former prime minister Sali Berisha.

Founded in 2016, G37 Chambers specialises in international, criminal and human rights laws, according to its website. It has offices in Spain and the United States, in San Francisco.
