The two solar farms, worth 600,000 euro ($641,394) in total, span a total area of 11,332 sq m, Restart Energy said in a LinkedIn post. They were installed on rooftops and on the ground at Aquaserv's headquarters in the southeastern city of Tulcea.
The installations will generate a total of 1096 MWh of green energy annually, reducing Aquaserv's electricity costs by over 210,000 euro per year. The solar parks will also reduce CO2 emissions and radioactive waste by 361 tonnes and 3.4 kg, respectively, per year.
Last week, Restart Energy said it would issue 33,505 euro-denominated, dematerialised, non-guaranteed, five-year bonds with a coupon rate of 9.5% and a par value of 100 euro apiece following a private placement offer held between 11 - 21 June. The bonds [BSE:REO29E], whose total value is 3,350,500 euro, are to be issued on June 27 and will then be admitted for trading on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB). Restart Energy also has a leu-denominated bond issue [BSE:REO26] trading on the BVB.
In 2023, Restart Energy's net profit plunged by 77% to 5 million lei.
