The public procurement contract was concluded with municipal company Metropolitan which operates Sofia metro, Trace Group said in a bourse filing.

The consortium, which also includes Bulgaria's consultancy firm Ing Proekt, will design and build a section with two underground stations and an interstation ventilation system as part of a project for extension of the metro's Line 3. The term of the contract is 48 months.

Earlier in December, another consortium led by Trace Group, Metro Slatina, was awarded a 75.06 million levs contract to build another metro section as part of the same project.

The total length of Line 3 is planned to reach 21 km with 21 metro stations upon completion of the extension.

As at CET 1211 on Friday, shares in Trace Group traded 1.68% higher at 3.64 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
