November 22 (SeeNews) - Moscow-headquartered software developer Yandex opened a research and development (R&D) centre in Serbia which will employ more than 800, the Serbian government said.
Serbia will also cooperate with the company in the field of education - another area in which it is active, the government said in a press release last week.
Last week another technology company, Switzerland-based Luxoft, opened an R&D centre in Serbia.
Yandex is a technology company that builds intelligent products and services powered by machine learning. It operates in ten countries and has over 18,000 employees.
