The SOFIX's positive performance was led by IoT maker Allterco [BUL:A4L] which advanced 4.28% to 19.50 levs in a trading volume of 5,043 shares.
Total turnover on the BSE's main market soared to some 15.6 million levs ($7.8 million/7.9 million euro) from 1.76 million levs on Wednesday.
The bulk of that amount, or 13 million levs, was generated by drug maker Tchaikapharma High Quality Medicines [BUL:THQM] after a block trade in 828,026 shares. The stock closed 0.63% lower at 15.70 levs.
Allterco's advance, together with a 3.33% rise in online gambling operator Telematic Interactive Bulgaria [BUL:TIB] to 15.50 levs, helped the BGBX40 index stay in green territory. The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, inched up 0.02% to 136.92 points.
The top loser among BGBX40 constituents was Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:IHB], which slipped 5.32% to 1.78 levs, followed by fertiliser maker Neochim [BUL:NEOH], which retreated 3.81% to 45.40 levs.
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, ticked down 0.15% to 712.26 points, on the back of the losses in IHB and Neochim.
Lastly, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, slipped 0.14% to 177.49 points. This was chiefly the result of a 0.68% decline in Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 2.94 levs.
