Serbian team wins 6.4 mln euro regional water supply contract - TED

BELGRADE (Serbia), November 6 (SeeNews) – A Serbian consortium led by builder Jedinstvo has won a 6.4 million euro ($8.3 million) order from the European Union to construct a regional water supply system in Serbia, according to a contract award notice in the EU's procurement journal TED on Tuesday.

The project aims to ensure the supply of safe drinking water to the inhabitants of the western Kolubara region. The contract period is 32 months.

The other partners in the consortium are Projektomontaza and GP Graditelj.

The funding was provided under EU's Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA).

Serbia joined the EU accession programme in November 2007. The EU has allocated to the country 1.1 billion euro under the IPA programme for the 2007-2012 period.
