The plan is to reconstruct the pontoon, install pilings, as well as build a system of connections and an access bridge, the Port Management Agency was quoted as saying by news provider sremskikarlovci.info last week.

Due to delays in the project, the agency has taken over its implementation from the local self-government.

In April, Serbia’s government said it will invest 28 million euro ($30.3 million) in the development of river transport infrastructure across the country as part of the Sail Through Serbia government initiative.
