April 5 (SeeNews) - Serbia’s government will invest 28 million euro ($30.6 million) in the development of river transport infrastructure across the country as part of the Sail Through Serbia government initiative, infrastructure minister Goran Vesic said without giving a timeframe.
“We will build marinas in Smederevo, Veliki Gradiste, Golubac, Kladovo and Sombor. We will build a pier in Banostor and we are finishing work on a pier in Sabac,” said Vesic.
The Sail Through Serbia initiative envisages the construction of new piers, marinas and increasing the volume of river traffic through the country.
