Serbia Opens 7.6 Mln Euro EU Co-financed Water Treatment Plant

The EU invested some 2.4 million euro, while the remainder was financed by the city and the central government, the cabinet said on its website on Tuesday, when the plant was opened.

The plant, part of public utility Water and Canalisation, has a capacity of 150 litres per second. It will enhance the infrastructure development and provide better conditions for the city to attract new investments, Indjija’s mayor Goran Jesic was quoted as saying in the statement.
