Serbia launches joint e-toll system with Montenegro

As of April 15, all users of Montenegrin ETC devices can freely pass through any toll station in Serbia without the need to stop and pay a toll, Putevi Srbije said in a statement on Monday.

On the Montenegrin side, however, there has been a delay in the integration of the Serbian toll collection system, with state-run motorway operator Monteput expected to launch the e-toll system integration next month, Putevi Srbije noted.

Serbia and Montenegro signed an agreement to introduce an integrated ETC system in August 2023. The system will make it possible to pay road tolls in Montenegro with the Serbian ETC tag and vice versa.

Later this year, Serbia is expected to launch joint e-toll system with neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia as well as with Greece, which is a favourite summer destination for many Serbs. Last year, Serbia launched a joint ETC system with North Macedonia.
