September 28 (SeeNews) - Serbia’s government said it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Astra Zeneca to collaborate on the development of biomedicine and biotechnology at the Bio 4 tech park, which is under construction in Belgrade.
The MoU enables opportunities for research-scientific cooperation and knowledge exchange.
Within this project, Astra Zeneca will finance genetic testing for BRCA mutations in patients with early breast cancer and support the application of artificial intelligence for screening for early detection of lung cancer, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic was quoted as saying in a press release.
