May 29 (SeeNews) - Serbia began the construction of the 350 million euro ($375 million) Bio 4 tech park in the capital Belgrade, the government said on Monday.
Of the total amount of the planned investment, 200 million euro have already been secured, prime minister Ana Brnabic was quoted as saying in a government press release.
The Bio 4 campus will bring together the research centres of companies active in biomedicine, biotechnology, bioinformatics and biodiversity, university faculties and scientific institutes.
Serbia also plans to expand the capacities of its tech parks in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Cacak and Nis, and start the construction of a tech park in Krusevac later this year.
