Romania's Vital calls tenders for water/wastewater sys upgrades - TED

September 26 (SeeNews) - Romanian water utility Vital has called two tenders for water and wastewater system upgrqades in the northwestern county of Maramures under deals worth a combined 87.7 million lei ($25 million/19.4 million euro), two notices in the EU's procurement journal indicated on Wednesday.

The first contract, worth 53.7 million lei excluding value added tax (VAT), involves the rehabilitation and extension of water and wastewater networks in Baia Mare town, a notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) indicated.

The project should be completed in 24 months. The deadline for placing bids is November 21.

The second contract, worth 34 million lei excluding VAT, involves the rehabilitation of water treatment plants in the towns of Borsa and Viseu de Sus, another notice said.

The duration of the contract is 22 months. Bids must be submitted before November 20.
