Romania's Iasi County Water Utility Invites Bids For Upgrade of Water Pumping Station - EBRD

BUCHAREST (Romania), November 6 (SeeNews) -  The water utility in Romanian county Iasi on Thursday invited interested companies to file tender documents for the Chirita water pumping station rehabilitation project financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Interested companies must file tender documents in the company's office no later than 0800 GMT on December 22, the EBRD said in a procurement notice on its website.

The project will require:

- Design of Chirita water treatment plant pumping station;

- Civil rehabilitation of the pumping station inside the plant;

- Design and construction of a new buffer tank with the capacity of 2,500 cubic metres;

- The hydraulic installation of nine pumps.

Potential contractors must certify an average annual turnover of at least four million euro ($5.2 million) over the last five years and successful experience in implementing similar projects for the same period, EBRd said.

They will have to demonstrate that they have access to, or have available, liquid assets, lines of credit, and other financial means estimated at not less than 200,000 euro, EBRD added.
