Prices of new dwellings in Montenegro up 14% in 2023

March 1 (SeeNews) - The average price of dwellings in new residential buildings in Montenegro rose 14.4% to 1,532 euro ($1,659) per square metre in 2023, the statistical office said.

Last year, the average price per square metre increased by 14.6% to 1,585 euro in the capital Podgorica, rose by 20% to 1,577 euro in the coastal region, and gained 7.6% to 696 euro in the central region, the statistical office said in a statement on Thursday.

In the country's north, the average cost per square metre of dwellings in new residential buildings increased by an annual 19% to 1,220 euro in the fourth quarter of last year.

In the fourth quarter alone, the average price per square metre of dwellings in new residential buildings in Montenegro rose 28% on the year to 1,790 euro, the statistical office has said earlier.
