In the three months through December, the average price per square metre increased by an annual 26% to 1,862 euro in the capital Podgorica, rose by 28% to 1,771 euro in the coastal region, and gained 36% to 915 euro in the central region, the statistical office said in a statement earlier this week.
In the country's north, however, the average cost per square metre of dwellings in new residential buildings fell by an annual 15% to 1,091 euro in the fourth quarter of last year.
In the third quarter, the average price of dwellings in new residential buildings in Montenegro stood at 1,643 euro per square metre, with Podgorica averaging 1,700 euro, the coastal region at 1,584 euro, the central region at 662 euro, and the north at 1,288 euro.
