The vehicle belonged to a private company taking delivery of industrial oils, Ruse municipality said in a statement, without naming the company.

The truck driver escaped the explosion and all other factory workers were evacuated. There is no environmental risk from the accident, Ruse mayor said.

Lubrica, set up in 1996, is specialised in making motor, industrial and special purpose oils. Its head office, chemical laboratory and manufacturing facility are based in Ruse.
