Moldova's exports were 12.6% lower year-on-year in the January-April period, while imports decreased by 2.2%, the statistical office said in a statement.
In April alone, exports fell by 7.8% on the year to $292.7 million, while imports increased by 12.5% to $776.7 million, increasing the trade deficit by an annual 29.7% to $484 million.
