March 20 (SeeNews) - Kosovo’s enterprise ministry said it has signed an agreement with the municipality of Rahovec to allocate 1 million euro ($1.1 million) for the second phase of an industrial park development near the western town.
In the first phase, the central government provided financing of some 1.5 million euro, whereas the municipality invested some 300,000 euro, the ministry said in a press release last week.
The industrial park aims to strengthen ties between businesses operating in the country, while also attracting foreign companies to invest in Kosovo.
Kosovo is also building industrial parks near the central town of Lipjan and the northern town of Vushtrri.
Industrial parks near the northern town of Mitrovica and the southern town of Suhareka, as well as a recently inaugurated park near the southeastern town of Viti are already operational.
