The wind farm, encompassing 27 wind turbines, can provide electricity to over 100,000 households, accounting for up to 10% of Kosovo's electricity consumption, Notus Energy said in a statement last week.
Notus Energy completed the construction of the wind farm, which is the largest in Kosovo, in October. It is located about 40 kilometres northeast of the capital Pristina in the Mitrovica municipality.
The project was financed with a 58 million euro loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as well as loans from Erste Bank Austria and Slovenian lender NLB. About one third of the project cost is financed by the owners, according to an earlier statement by Notus Energy.
