November 30 (SeeNews) - Croatian businessman Milan Veckovic has placed a takeover bid for local water utility company Vodoprivreda Zagreb, the company said on Friday.

Veckovic currently owns 126,699 ordinary shares in Vodoprivreda Zagreb, representing a stake of 32.03%, the company said in a statement posted on its website.

He has offered to pay 100 kuna ($17.2/13 euro) per each of the 268,750 shares he does not own.

Vodoprivreda Zagreb's line of business is construction and maintenance of water resources and wood areas.

(1 euro = 7.5392 Croatian kuna)
