The smart logistics project has a value of 700 million yuans ($98.1 million/89.7 million euro) and will feature artificial intelligence, mobile sensing, big data and industrial robotics technologies, Safe-Run said in a statement on Wednesday.

"Safe-Run competed with excellent suppliers, including well-known enterprises from Finland, South Korea, and Japan in the international arena. By going through the evaluation of the expert team of Linglong Tire, Safe-Run finally won the strenuous international bidding and obtained the bulk order of intelligent logistics," the company's president Zhang Yingzi said.

Shandong Linglong started the construction of the 800 million euro ($900 million) Zrenjanin tyre factory in March. The factory will have 1,200 employees and will produce 13.6 million high-performance radial tyres per year.
