"We have received permission from the European Union and will launch a procedure to award a concession for the ship shelter in Ruse," a ministry statement quoted transport minister Ivaylo Moskovski as saying.
The project for the construction of the ship shelter was frozen more than seven years ago over lack of funding after a total of 20 million levs ($13.3 million/10.2 million euro) provided under the EU's Phare pre-accession programme and the state budget were invested in it.
The winter camp will provide accommodation for 26 vessels at a guaranteed depth of 3.5 metres, the statement added.
