SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), November 7 (SeeNews) – Bosnia is expected to start tendering for consultant services on the PlavaVoda water supply project in January/February 2018, to be financed with a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, local company Plava Voda said.
The procurement for works contracts is planned to follow in March next year, the Travnik-based public company said in a procurement notice published on Monday.
JP RV Plava Voda doo will implement the project estimated to cost 30 million euro ($34.7 million).
The project will be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the EBRD under a deal signed with Bosnia's Federation, and parallel financing will be provided by the Council of Europe Development Bank. It involves the construction of water intake structures at the PlavaVoda springs, together with chlorination station in Travnik, and the construction of a main pipeline about 33 km long from the spring in Travnik to the main reservoir Putovici in Zenica.
The Federation is one of two entities making up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Serb Republic.
