Air Serbia will operate flights to Belgrade out of New York’s terminal from 2026, it said in a LinkedIn post.

Air Serbia now operates out of the current Terminal One at New York JFK, servicing the route up to seven times a week. The carrier launched the Belgrade-New York service in 2016, the first direct flight connection between Serbia and the U.S. in 24 years.

The New Terminal One is being constructed in partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey as part of the agency's $19 billion (17.4 billion euro) redevelopment of JFK Airport, and is expected to be complete by 2030.

The terminal is being built on sites now occupied by Terminal One, the recently closed Terminal Two, and the former Terminal Three. Construction is being carried out in phases, with the first phase, including the new arrivals and departures halls and first set of 14 new gates, is expected to open in 2026.

The airline also operates a service to Chicago in the U.S. Last month, regional media reported that Air Serbia could launch its service to Miami, Florida by the end of this year.
