September 27 (SeeNews) - Romania's consolidated budget was in deficit equivalent to 4.57% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in the first eight months of 2024, widening from a 2.63% gap a year earlier, as spending increased by 22.5% to 456.63 billion lei ($102.36 billion/91.77 billion euro), the finance ministry said on Friday.
