Apr 4, 1959 - Socially-owned company Drustveno Preduzece (DP) Metalac is set up as tinsmith and locksmith company in Gornji Milanovac, central Serbia. Shortly after its establishment, the company shifts to the manufacturing of enamel cookware.
July 1998 - Metalac initiates the privatisation of 60% of the socially-owned capital, esitmated at CSD 12.6 mln.
Apr 4, 2002 - The company transforms into a joint stock company and lists on the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
2003 - The company sets up subsidiary wholesaler Metalac Trade DOO.
Aug 5, 2003 - Metalac AD acquires 60.42% in domestic trading chain Proleter for EUR 837,000.
2004 - Metalac AD buys 82.36% in local company Agrovojvodina Metalurgija and chahges its name to Metalac Metalurgija AD.
June 25, 2004 - Metalac AD starts trading on unregulated market of the Belgrade Stock Exchange with a stock symbol MTLC.
Oct 28, 2005 - The company sets up five wholly-owned subsidiaries - cookware producer Metalac Posudje DOO, kitchen sinks manufacturer Metalac Inko DOO, cardboard packaging producer Metalac Print DOO, boilers manufacturer Metalac Bojler DOO and wholesale and retail company Metalac Market DOO.
Jan 1, 2006 - Metalac AD transforms into holding company Metalac AD.
Jan 1, 2007 - The company buys Russian wholesaler Metrot OOO, which becomes Metalac representative on the Russian market.
