BELEX15 closes higher on gains of Metalac, Dunav Osiguranje

July 10 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange rose for a second consecutive day on Tuesday, lifted by gains in household appliances maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] and insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS], bourse data showed.

The BELEX15 added 0.49%, closing at 1002.80 points.

Metalac led the blue-chip gainers on Tuesday by rising 4.24% to close at 1,720 dinars on a volume of 30 traded shares.

Dunav Osiguranje followed, increasing 2.55% to 1,047 dinars at close, generating 3.8 million dinars of turnover - the highest among the blue chips for the day.

At the other end, aluminium rolling mill Impol Seval [BEL:IMPL] led the blue-chip decliners, dropping 10.14% to 7,000 dinars at close on a volume of just 4 traded shares.

Outside the blue chips, manufacturer of orthopedic devices Rudo [BEL:RUDO] was the biggest gainer on Tuesday, jumping 16.33% to 349 dinars at close. In addition, it generated the single largest turnover of 42.5 million dinars for the day, after 121,892 Rudo shares changed hands in 3 transactions.

Belgrade-based management and consultancy firm Link Care said in a statement with the Belgrade bourse that it raised its stake in Rudo to 89.95% from 71.18% on Tuesday after purchasing the 121,892 Rudo shares. The name of the seller was not revealed.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also rose, closing 0.04% higher at 2,229.16 points.

Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse dropped to 49 million dinars ($453,000/419,000 euro) on Tuesday from 111 million dinars on Monday when some 107 million dinars came from trading in government securities.
