The Budapest LNG Summit is focusing on the up and coming LNG region of Central & Eastern Europe, connecting regional demand with the international supply chain. The conference is a well established meeting point of major gas and LNG stakeholders from the CEE region and beyond, who will come together on 4 April in Budapest to review how the sector has coped so far with the challenges and adjusted to the new normal.

Another important milestone of last year was the decision to double the capacity of the Krk LNG terminal in Croatia. Hrvoje Krhen, Managing Director of LNG Croatia, the operator of the Krk terminal will also speak at the 4th Budapest LNG Summit to show how the expansion of the terminal will repositon Croatia on the regional energy map.
In the meantime, Romania may come closer than ever to starting construction of its Neptun Deep gas project. Franck Neel, Member of the Executive Board of OMV Petrom will speak at the conference about the potentials of the Black Sea resources contributing to the region’s energy security.
However, the region’s energy security hinges on the outcome of the war in Ukraine. Mykola Kolisnyk, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine will speak the 4th Budapest LNG Summit about the state of the country’s energy infrastructure and how to rebuild it.
The 4th Budapest LNG Summit also provides an overview of the global gas market, with speakers coming from all over the world to share their insights on the future of LNG, such as Imran Mohammed from Gas Market Analysis Department of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) who will present the outlook of the global gas market.
