Zagreb stock indices continue drop

October 12 (SeeNews) - The Croatian share indices drifted further into negative territory on Friday as turnover jumped, bourse data indicated.

Zagreb stock indices continue drop

The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index shed 0.23% to 1,748.15 points after closing 0.32% lower on Thursday.

The narrower blue-chip index, the CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free-float, market capitalisation and liquidity on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE), fell 0.63% to 971.63 points.

The CROX index, which tracks the 12 most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, closed 0.43% lower in euro terms at 954.77.

Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] posted the highest turnover among the blue chips of 2.9 million kuna ($501,500/386,100 euro). The stock rose 0.51% to 208.41 kuna.

Sugar maker Viro [ZSE:VIRO-R-A] paced the CROBEX gainers, rising 3.74% to 551.35 kuna.

Tourism-to-tobacco conglomerate Adris Grupa [ZSE:ADRS-R-A] led the CROBEX decliners, falling 3.77% to 250.21 kuna.

The bourse's total equity turnover in floor trading rose to 15.96 million kuna from 5.4 million kuna on Thursday.

The fixed-income CROBIS index added 0.07% to 102.3068 points.

The CROBIS Total Return bond index, which has the same components as the CROBIS and also includes accrued interest or interest payments, rose 0.08% to 119,0930 points.
