Zagreb share indices fall, Valamar leads blue-chip losers

October 13 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended lower on Tuesday, with tourism company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] pacing the blue-chip losers, bourse data showed.

Valamar's shares shed 0.84% to a close of 23.70 kuna, ZSE data showed.

Electrical equipment manufacturer Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI] was the sole blue-chip gainer, rising 0.82% to close at 615 kuna.

Five of the ten blue-chip companies on the ZSE fell on Tuesday, one rose, and four closed flat.

Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] generated the largest single turnover among the blue chips for the day - of 379,200 kuna, with its stocks falling 0.28% to close at 176 kuna.

The ZSE's total trading turnover rose to 8.4 million kuna ($1.3 million/1.1 million euro) from 7.2 million kuna on Monday.

The bourse's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index fell 0.30% to 1,611.02 on Tuesday after edging up 0.01% on Monday.

The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, lost 0.20% to 1,004.68 after dropping 0.15% on Monday.
