The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rose 0.21% to 1,738.84 points after losing 0.29% on Monday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, was up 0.19% to a close of 1,000.76.
The CROX index, which tracks the eight most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, gained 0.04% in euro terms to 893.04.
ZSE's total turnover rose to 11.38 million kuna ($1.8 million/1.49 million euro) from 6.2 million kuna on Monday.
Diversified holding company Djuro Djakovic [ZSE:DDJH-R-A] generated the session's biggest turnover of 1.12 million kuna, closing down 3.0% at 32.01 kuna.
Plastic goods maker AD Plastik [ZSE:ADPL-R-A] led the CROBEX gainers, rising 3.1% to 93 kuna.
Agricultural conglomerate Vupik [ZSE:VPIK-R-A] paced the CROBEX decliners, sinking 4.27% to 79.16 kuna.
The fixed-income CROBIS index closed up 0.73% at 105.5686 points.
