Zagreb bourse stock indices fall

December 22 (SeeNews) - The Croatian stock indices closed lower on Monday amidst increased total daily turnover, bourse data indicated.

Zagreb bourse stock indices fall

The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) fell 0.05% to 1,751.07 points after adding 0.51% on Friday.

The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, was down 0.03% to a close of 1,008.49.

The CROX index, which tracks the eight most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, lost 0.44% in euro terms to 899.12.

ZSE's total turnover rose to 11.6 million kuna ($1.86 million/1.51 million euro) from 7.37 million kuna on Friday.

Ice cream and frozen food company Ledo [ZSE:LEDO-R-A] generated the session's biggest turnover of 2.74 million kuna, closing up 0.61% at 8,450 kuna.

Diversified holding company Djuro Djakovic [ZSE:DDJH-R-A] led the CROBEX gainers, rising 15.37% to 32.88 kuna.

Fertilizer maker Petrokemija [ZSE:PTKM-R-A] paced the CROBEX decliners, sinking 7.96% to 25.77 kuna.

The fixed-income CROBIS index closed up 0.17% at 104.4790 points.
