The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) fell 0.62% to 1,740.20 points after adding 0.05% on Monday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, was down 0.54% to a close of 1,003.01.
The CROX index, which tracks the eight most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, lost 0.31% in euro terms to 896.34.
ZSE's total turnover rose to 22.2 million kuna ($3.54 million/2.9 million euro) from 11.6 million kuna on Monday.
The preferred shares of diversified conglomerate Adris Grupa [ZSE:ADRS-P-A] generated the session's biggest turnover of 5.4 million kuna, closing down 0.15% at 325 kuna. The company's ordinary shares closed down 2.71% to 359 kuna, leading the CROBEX gainers.
Fertilizer maker Petrokemija [ZSE:PTKM-R-A] led the CROBEX gainers, rising 6.71% to 27.50 kuna.
Shipping company Jadroplov [ZSE:JDPL-R-A] paced the CROBEX decliners, sinking 7.34% to 101 kuna.
The fixed-income CROBIS index closed up 0.14% at 104.6206 points.
