Zagreb bourse CROBEX stock index closes down

December 30 (SeeNews) - The benchmark CROBEX share index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange closed down on Monday amid a decrease in total daily turnover, bourse data indicated.

The 22-share index was down 0.04% to 1,779.75 points after losing 0.16% on Friday.

The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip stock indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the 10 leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, was flat at 990.01 points.

The CROX index, which tracks the 12 most traded stocks on the ZSE and is calculated by the Vienna bourse, ended 0.04% higher in euro terms at 906.33.

Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] paced turnover in regular trading with some 3.1 million kuna ($559,000/407,000 euro). The stock added 0.27% to 176.88 kuna.

Civil engineering company Ingra [ZSE:INGR-R-A] led the CROBEX advancers, adding 4.75% to 3.09 kuna.

Lender Zagrebacka Banka [ZSE:ZABA-R-A] led the CROBEX decliners, losing 2.26% to 29 kuna.

The bourse's total turnover fell to 14.8 million kuna from 16.2 million kuna on Friday.

The fixed-income CROBIS index closed 0.06% down at 99.0897 points.

The CROBIS Total Return bond index, which has the same components as the CROBIS and includes accrued interest or interest payments, was 0.04% lower at 123.1050 points.
