The landing of the aircraft last night marked the reconnection of the two capital cities after a hiatus of five years, the Zagreb Airport said in a press release.
The Zagreb-Seoul service will be operated three times a week, from May 16th until October 26th, using a 347-seater Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
The last scheduled flight between Zagreb and Seoul took place at the end of November 2019 and Zagreb Airport is delighted to see this direct link restored, it added.
in September 2018, Korean Air started operating regular flights between Zagreb and Seoul, connecting directly eastern Asia to Croatia for the first time, Zagreb Airport said earlier.
According to news portal EX-YU Aviation, the service was maintained with a triangle routing (Seoul - Zagreb - Zurich - Seoul) during the winter of 2018/19, before its was downgraded to seasonal in 2019, which was the last year of operations of these flights to Zagreb.
Zagreb will be T’way Air’s first destination in Europe and will be followed by Paris, Rome, Barcelona, and Frankfurt, as per the press release.
