November 24 (SeeNews) - Serbia's western Nova Varos region will be connected to the pan-European Corridor XI, a ferry-motorway corridor between Italy's port of Bari and the Romanian capital Bucharest, the Serbian infrastructure ministry said on Thursday.
In September, Corridor XI will reach Pozega and a new section towards Montenegro, to Boljare, will be built in two phases, infrastructure minister Goran Vesic said in a press release.
The region will be connected to the new motorway, which will completely change the way of life of the people, Vesic added.
Corridor XI will link Bari, the Montenegrin port of Bar, Belgrade and Bucharest. Corridor X links Salzburg, Austria, with the Greek Aegean port of Thessaloniki port, via Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Macedonia.
