The operator's customer base reached 11 million at the end of September, including 9.21 million mobile users, Vodafone Romania said in a press release.

Vodafone Romania’s mobile average revenue per user was 5.3 euro in the second quarter of the company's financial year 2019/2020 started April 1.

"It was a very dynamic quarter both for us and for the Romanian telecommunications market. At the industry level, we have noticed a growing interest in a more digital society," Vodafone Romania CEO Murielle Lorilloux said.

Vodafone Romania is a subsidiary of Vodafone Group.

The group has mobile operations in 24 countries, partners with mobile networks in 42 more, and has fixed broadband operations in 18 markets.

In July, the European Commission conditionally approved the acquisition by Vodafone of the cable business of international TV and broadband company Liberty Global in the Czech republic, Germany, Hungary and Romania.
