Viktor Lenac shines on Zagreb bourse, share indices grow

December 5 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rose on Thursday, as shipbuilding company Viktor Lenac [ZSE:VLEN] paced the blue-chip gainers for a second straight day, ZSE data showed.

Viktor Lenac's shares closed at 7.40 kuna, up 5.71%.

Diversified holding Djuro Djakovic [ZSE:DDJH] led the blue-chip losers on Thursday, as its shares closed 8.93% lower at 5.10 kuna.

Tourism company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] generated the highest trading turnover among the blue chips - 667,530 kuna. The company's shares closed 0.26% lower at 38 kuna.

ZSE's total trading turnover more than halved to 3.8 million kuna ($566,637/510,786 euro) from 8.4 million kuna on Wednesday.

The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index rose 0.05% to 1,995.30 after falling 0.51% in the previous trading day.

The narrower of ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, increased by 0.08% to 1,185.00 after dropping 0.32% on Wednesday.

The fixed-income CROBIS index lost 0.04% to 115.9745.
