Value of Macedonian Bank Card Transactions Down 10.6% M/M in August - Table

October 2 (SeeNews) - The value of bank card transactions in Macedonia fell by 10.6% month-on-month to 7.319 billion denars ($173.3 million/119.1 million euro) in August, while the nubmer of transactions decreased by a monthly 6.4%, central bank statistics showed.

On an annual basis, the value of bank card transactions fell by 32.4% in August, while the number of transactions dropped by 11.5% to 2,143,840.

The number of credit cards in use in Macedonia totalled 1.224 million in August, 0.6% up from the previous month and 22.2% higher than a year earlier.
