Value of bank card transactions in Macedonia falls 3.9% m/m in Aug - table

September 24 (SeeNews) - The value of bank card transactions in Macedonia fell by 3.9% month-on-month to 9.91 billion denars ($209 million/161 million euro) in August and the number of transactions went down by a monthly 1.3%, central bank statistics showed on Monday.

On an annual basis, the value of bank card transactions increased by 7.9% in August and the number of transactions was up by 6.9%, data from the central bank showed.

The number of bank cards in use in Macedonia totalled 1.47 million in August, up 0.6% from the previous month and 0.2% higher than a year earlier.
