U.S. Donates $1.1 Mln in Customs Equipment To Help Kosovo Improve Services

The U.S. donated on Thursday technical equipment worth $1.1 million (783,000 euro) to help Kosovo improve its customs services and border control, the U.S. embassy in Pristina said.

Kosovo received detection equipment and two static x-rays and one mobile x-ray vans, the embassy said in a statement.

Kosovo collected 366.78 million euro in gross customs revenue in the first eight months of the year, up by 12% on the year. Kosovo targets to collect 561 million euro in customs revenue this year, up from the 437.8 million euro last year.
