Consumer prices grew by 0.9% on the month in September after rising by 0.5% in August, the statistical office said in a statement.
The biggest monthly rise in prices in September, of 10.6%, was recorded in the clothing and footwear segment. Transport prices rose by 0.6%, while prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels grew by 0.4%.
On the other hand, the prices of hotels and restaurants declined by 3.6% month-on-month in September, while furniture and household equipment costs fell 0.1%.
In 2016, Montenegro's CPI fell by 0.2% after rising by 1.5% in 2015.
