UPDATE 1 - Bulgaria's November Consumer Prices Fall 0.1% M/M

December 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's consumer prices fell 0.1% month-on-month in November, after rising by a monthly 0.5% in October, the National Statistics Institute said on Friday.

UPDATE 1 - Bulgaria's November Consumer Prices Fall 0.1% M/M

Year-on-year consumer price inflation in November was 9.1%, compared to 10.9% in October, the NSI said.

The cumulative inflation through November was 8.0%.

In November transport and communication prices fell by 3.1% and 5.2%, respectively. Prices of clothing and textiles were 1.1% higher on the month and house rents, prices of repairs and utility bills increased by a monthly 0.9%. Prices of food and soft drinks rose by 0.3%.

Bulgaria's EU harmonised consumer price index fell by a monthly 0.4% in November, after rising by a monthly 0.1% in October. The annual EU-harmonised consumer price inflation was 8.8%, compared to 11.2% a month earlier.

Monthly EU-harmonised consumer price inflation was triggered by a 4.8% fall in communication tariffs and a 3.1% drop in transport services prices.

The government in Sofia sees end-year inflation slowing down to below 10% from 12.5% at the end of 2007.
