In quarterly terms, Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP) went up by 0.4% in the January-March period, after adding 0.5% in October-December of 2023, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement, citing preliminary and seasonally-adjusted data.
Bulgaria's GDP amounted to some 43.28 billion levs ($24.04 billion/22.13 billion euro) at current prices in the first quarter of 2024. The GDP per capita totalled 6,722 levs in the period under review.
The gross value added (GVA) generated by the Bulgarian economy in January-March grew by 2.4% on the year to reach some 38.3 billion levs at current prices.
