UNIQA's pre-tax profit in Albania surges in Jan-Sept

Total gross written premiums from operations in Albania decreased by 10% on the year in the January-September period to 26.5 million euro, UNIQA said in a financial report last week.

Gross written premiums in the non-life insurance segment fell 12% to 20.5 million euro in the period under review, while premiums from life insurance dropped 18% to 3.7 million euro. Health insurance premiums increased by 38% to 2.3 million euro.

The UNIQA Group is represented in Albania by SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria and SIGAL Life UNIQA Group Austria, and pension fund SIGAL Life UNIQA Group AUSTRIA.

In Southeast Europe, UNIQA is present in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania and Serbia.
