UniCredit Group's profit before tax in Croatia plunged 59.2% on the year to 82 million euro in January-September, the group said in an interim financial statement.
Operating income fell 15.1% year-on-year to 391 million euro, while operating costs rose 4.1% to 162 million euro, resulting in a 56.9% drop of the operating profit to 110 million euro.
Net interest income decreased by an annual 14.1% to 246 million euro in January-September, while net fee and commission income dropped 11.8% to 101 million euro.
Loans to customers edged down 0.3% on the year to 9.054 billion euro at the end of September, while customer deposits increased 4.7% to 13.014 billion euro.
UniCredit controls Croatia's top lender - Zagrebacka Banka (ZABA).
